Southern tailgating is some of the best cuisine you’ll find! I mean seriously! There are some dishes that ONLY get brought out during the fall football season. Every year, I look forward to the buffalo chicken dip, chilli, fried chicken, and other amazing foods that people bring to tailgates. I decided to round up some of my favorite tailgate dip recipes for y’all to try! These are so easy to make and are definite staples at any tailgate.
Rotel Dip
Rotel dip is one of the easiest recipes ever. Some people like to add hamburger meat to this, which is a hearty addition! You basically need a can of rotel tomatoes and velveeta cheese. Basically, you heat up a block of velveeta cheese in a crock pot or microwave. If you microwave it, heat the cheese for 3 minutes. Take it out and stir. Repeat this again. Lastly, you’ll heat the cheese for 1 minute. When you take it out, stir in the rotel tomatoes and cooked hamburger meat and it’s ready to be served with any kind of chip! If you are using a crock pot, just keep mixing the cheese until evenly melted and leave it on the warming setting!
Buffalo Chicken Dip
Buffalo chicken dip is a tailgate classic, at least at most schools I have been to! So, I am going to show you the recipe I use that gets incredible reviews from everyone that tries it. I also make this for holidays and any other get togethers where you bring food!
French Onion Dip
This is definitely the easiest recipe to make. I’m not kidding, it’s about 2 ingredients haha. So, here is the recipe!
1 Pint of Sour Cream and 1 packet of French Onion Dip Mix! Literally so easy!
