I’m rounding up the best places to grab a drink in Charleston, SC.
This post is a travel guide to Charleston nightlife!
The Hottest Bars To Try In Charleston, SC
Pearlz Oyster Bar
Pearlz is an overall favorite. Not only do they have delicious handmade drinks, but the food is always amazing! This is a great spot to go to for happy hour and dinner before going to other places. They have beers on draft, a large wine selection, and beautiful cocktails! Their drink menu rotates through the seasons and each drink has a different base liquor so there is something for everyone!
Henry’s On The Market
Henry’s is a 3 story bar that is basically a maze to get through! It’s so fun and beautiful though! There is incredible live music here and several different rooms where there are slightly different vibes. Henry’s has a speakeasy-type atmosphere and all different types of drinks. There is plenty of indoor/outdoor seating as well as beautiful views.
Avondale Wine and Cheese
If you love a charcuterie board, this is the place for you! You can pick from so many different cheeses, meats, and spreads! And you get as much bread as you possibly want to go with it! In my personal opinion, their selection of goat cheeses is THE. BEST. Seriously, I can’t recommend it enough. They also have a great rose called Mr. Pink which is SO incredibly good!
Red’s at Shem Creek
If you want to enjoy drinks over the best view in Charleston, Red’s is the place for you! Red’s is a good daytime or nighttime spot because the views are incredible. There are so many boats and people around, and you may even see dolphins! Red’s is also dog friendly so you can bring your pup along. People of all ages love this bar and it is such a fun environment. Definitely add this to your list!
Tommy Condon’s
Tommy Condon’s is an OG Irish pub. While this normally wouldn’t be my favorite type of bar, it is so much fun every time I go! On the weekends, they have a duo that performs all night. One of the guys is from Ireland and plays the fiddle better than I would ever imagine. They sing all kinds of American songs as well as Irish ones. These guys are really good at getting the crowd into the music so you feel like you’re part of something special every time you go there. This is a great place to end your night!
The Rooftop at Vendue
The rooftop is a classy venue with an incredible view. You can see the Cooper River Bridge as well as downtown. No matter what season, the rooftop is open! They have heaters so it’s still comfortable in the winter. They also have TV’s so if any major sports event is going on, you can watch it in the background while chatting with friends over drinks. This place is on top of a hotel that has beautiful art and neon signs so the Instagram opportunities are plentiful!
