If you know me personally, you know that Christmas is something that gives me the most joy and happiness! I truly love how festive the season is and the meaning behind all the family gatherings and traditions. I’m definitely the girl that decorates in November and I’m not ashamed! I started my Christmas theme back in 2019 when I was in college. It was the first year I lived alone so I couldn’t wait to have a tree decorated just the way I wanted! So… I took to Pinterest and Instagram to decide what theme I wanted and I chose Buffalo Plaid. I just think it’s absolutely adorable and you can add so many different elements to it!
This Christmas tree is a generic, pre-lit one from the At Home Store. My parents picked it up for me but said it was super affordable. They usually have good prices and you don’t have to have the fanciest tree right away. I like it because it is easy to assemble and relatively skinny, which worked when living in a tiny home. I prefer white lights, especially with the color scheme I picked. Then, we headed to Hobby Lobby (heaven on earth) and I went to town picking out ornaments. Their stuff is almost always 50% off too so that makes it more affordable. I picked out sparkly reds, silvers, blacks, and whites to go on my tree, plus a silver crown tree topper! If you know, you know.
Each year I add a little bit more to my decor scheme. So, I grabbed these little trees and set them on my dresser. The lights on them are a new addition for this year! I just think it is a cute little addition. I also got plaid bedding to go over my typical white comforter. I like to add themed accents like pillows and throw blankets to make the room come together! Again, most everything I use to decorate comes from Hobby Lobby so you can still find these options currently!
I hope you enjoyed this post about my favorite Christmas decor! If you have a Christmas theme that you love, send me a photo of it on Instagram @kt_hulsey! I’d love to see other designs!
