So you want to host a Galentine’s Day party? What even is Galentine’s Day? This is a day to celebrate your friendship with the women in your life before you celebrate with your special someone for Valentine’s Day! I particularly love the idea of Galentine’s Day because I believe that love can exist in a variety of contexts. I have never felt truer love than from some of my female friends and I hope they say the same of me! I would truly be lost without my girlfriends so it seems natural to celebrate with them during the month of love. In this post, I’m going to show you how to host the perfect Galentine’s Day party!
Snacks
As we all know, snacks are the most important part of any get together with women! For this event, I think charcuterie and wine is an absolute must! And, it is so much fun to put together if everyone brings a couple of their favorite ingredients! This is a good way to keep costs down and ensure that everyone has something that they like on the board.
Another snack idea is a slutty brownie. Now this sounds more risque than it actually is, but they are so delicious! You start by layering a cookie, an oreo, and brownie batter in a cupcake pan, and then bake them all together so you basically get 3 sweet treats in one! There are tons of recipes for this on TikTok but I will include the video that I plan to use here. You can make these for any occasion so this is a great recipe to save to your phone or computer.

Decorations
Decorations are the most fun part of any event in my opinion because they really set the mood! This year, I think that bows are super super trendy so in reality, you could get some ribbon and tie a bow on everything and it would look perfect! Some other ideas that I particularly love are twinkly lights because it adds a girly and cozy vibe to the room. You can place them throughout the table where your snacks are set up and on the windows or walls of the room! Another great idea is a photo area. This can be achieved super cheaply by grabbing some pink, white, and red paper streamers and taping them vertically to make a striped wall and it would look WONDERFUL in the background of photos. You can also grab a balloon arch off of amazon these days for super cheap! I will link the streamers and the balloon arch here. Some flower petals strewn throughout the party area also make it look fun and girly!
What to wear
In my mind, a Galentine’s Day party is a one that is hosted at someone’s home and is relatively low-key so that the next weekend you can go out on the town with your significant other. For Galentine’s Day this year, I am going to a coworker’s house and the attire is pajamas! So everyone is wearing pink or red frilly pajamas which will make for an absolutely ADORABLE photo!
