Podcasts are a new wave of media production that has people creating content so quickly! I love listening to podcasts because I feel like I am doing something productive that is helping me learn! I have rounded up my favorite podcasts that have changed my life over the past year. Check them out on Apple Podcasts!
The Ramsey Show
The Ramsey Show is the perfect podcast to start with if you are looking to make financial gains. Dave Ramsey is known for his financial courses that help people get out of debt and become “everyday millionaires,” as he says! This podcast is great because it is so easy to listen to and he gives very practical advice. Dave breaks finances down into simple steps to accomplish goals. The podcast comes from his radio show, the Dave Ramsey Show, and each episode lasts about an hour. People call in to his show, ask a finance question, and he gives them advice! Sometimes he has to give harsh truths but his advice is truly helpful. No matter where you are in your financial journey, there is something you can learn from the Ramsey Show.
EmpowerHER
EmpowerHER is one of those podcasts that gets you absolutely pumped and ready to crush your goals. The host, Kacia Fitzgerald, is so upbeat and full of energy. Her messages get me so motivated to “do the damn thing” as she always says! For a little bit of background, Kacia previously worked with Beachbody and made over 1 million dollars in network marketing. Now, she hosts her own podcast and mastermind events to help motivate her listeners on a deeper level. She is so passionate about personal development and shares her knowledge consistently. I also love that she has interview guests often. Sometimes she has guests that speak about hormone health for women and sometimes her fiance speaks on pivoting in life! His perspective is great because he was a full time dentist and now works with Kacia in entrepreneurship. Definitely give this podcast a listen if you need a pump up throughout your day.
Lets Get Vulnerable: Relationships, Dating, & Sex
WHEW! This podcast is a deep one. But, I am so thankful to have stumbled across this show because it has helped me in so many ways. For a little back story, I found this show shortly after I started going to therapy and got out of a toxic relationship. I was diving into the science of relationships, attraction, and why people are the way they are. So, the very first episode that I listened to from Lets Get Vulnerable was about how to recover from narcissistic abuse, something I could definitely relate to at the time. Dr. Morgan Anderson does a deep dive into relationships and attachment theory, which I find absolutely fascinating. If you are struggling with confidence in yourself and your relationships, this will be so helpful for you. Her episodes have helped me understand myself and my needs in a relationship on a much deeper level. The episodes are great discussion topics for my therapy sessions as well. Be ready to take a deep look at yourself when you listen to this one, it will help you uncover parts of yourself that you never knew were there!
The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her
The Skinny Confidential is a podcast that I have newly started following! The hosts are Michael Bostick and Lauren Bostick, his wife. I like this podcast because of the contrast of the male and female perspective. They also have extremely interesting and unique guests! Each episode is about an hour long so I like to listen to it on walks, at the nail salon, or on longer drives. I like this show because I feel like I learn something new about health or business each time I listen. My favorite episode so far was about the effects of alcohol, marijuana, and COVID-19 on our brain health! This podcast is great if you are looking to learn something new that is easily applicable for day to day life.
The Goal Digger Podcast
The Goal Digger Podcast is one of my favorites for business ideas. Jenna Kutcher is an entrepreneurial coach and she gives quality tips for free on her podcast! I like her episodes because she gives actionable tips for ways to improve your business. Her brand is unique in the fact that she is also passionate about photography and wellness so you never really know what you’re going to get on a given day. I love her episodes about marketing and business strategy because I am implementing them for this blog! I actually purchased her course, The Pinterest Lab, to help me grow my website. Check her out if you are a creative person or work in the digital marketing space!
